Nothing extraordinary about my "knowledge" of Eritrean/Ethiopian affairs;
simply, exercising my eyeballs to read something of interest through the
written history lines of any book on the subject matter. Those who know
better for some reason or another have opted to remain silent, leaving
the ground for dilettantes to paint the landscape with gray color.
Your question about the different treatment of Eritrean Canadian and
Ethiopian Canadian visiting Ethiopia and Eritrea respectively, I honestly
don't know the reason behind the policy, though I know of an irate
Ethiopian from Toronto who couldn't use the Birr in Asmara.
On the surface, it sounds unfair but then, who knows what the reason
behind that policy is?
