Dear Nicole and Dehaiers,

Your argument against the treatment of the relationship between Eritreans and
African Americans by University of Illinois student Azieb as inter-racial is
very clear and I agree with you. I am sure Azieb started her study with this
subject loosly to cover all relationships between Eritreans and
non-Eritreans. But let her defend her paper, since she desires to have the
study published in a journal.

However, it is this statement from your message that I have difficulty with :

> While I do understand, that some of you all of the "horn", may have a

general,

In this regard, we, Eritreans (yes from the "horn"), are no different from
African Americans and other Africans. But I fail to understand how the
preference of some of us for white americans would have an impact on whether
the relationship between an Eritrean and an African American is
inter-cultural or not.

I truly believe that the quotation of Malcom X would have been a wonderful
closure to your message.
