I'm sure Anadarko said there would be no spillage

believe that? Speaking of tangible aspects only....>>
You are partially right. Eritrea occupies a section of the Red Sea
that can be said is less polluted than other sections. The Red
Sea belongs, not only to the bordering countries, but to the world,
and as such it is everyone's responsibilty not to pollute it. Eritrea
alone can not keep the Red Sea pristine while the multinationals are
hell-bent on exploiting the worlds resources. It takes the whole community.
I understand your frustration, but until the multinational corporations
act as responsible citizens of this world, it seems no one is safe.
As for Eritrean responsibility it would be pretentious on anyones
part to beleive that he or she loves Eritrean soil or its people than
the men and women who are in government. They put thier life
for that love. As you suggest, this men and women may have got
assurance of no spillage, but I hope you are not saying they don't
know the history of oil companies.

As a matter of due course, the importance of villages
will be taken over by American Big Business ethics.
It's the same in America. >>
When I read your earlier posting, I was and am happy
that there are people like you who are willing to share
their life-learned skills with others who need it. Let me
suggest that you contact the Eritrean Embassy, and
even better, the Ministry of Agriculture in Eritrea. Share
with them your plan and see what can be done.
I want to say that you are doing a good thing. After contacting
the ministry, for example, and you need specific resource or
help, then Dehai may be the right forum.
I am posting this note to Dehai membership, so as to be
corrected if I steered you wrong.
Respectively
yours,
