Your question; why do I think Anadarko's
presence in Eritrea will overpower the
importance of villages...

The lowest common denominator of mankind
after the need for food, warmth, etc. is lust for
money and power (and sex in USA) so there is always
a mad dash to get to be leader where the money and
power is to be had and where the money comes in
first.

Sad for me to say such things... but check it out.

Reply to yourself: Why are some countries so poor
and why do their leaders have homes and aircraft and
vehicles when their population stay poor?

So it is in the villages...they aren't in leader's minds
much to start with. When a Big Business comes in with
LOTS of money, what else is there?
