With all due respect to any well-meaning dehaier that uses "@hotmail.com"
email address, the suspicion that Selamawit Araya is nothing but a fake
name has become reality by the day. I've on two occasions requested to
talk to you in order to avoid exchanging ideas with multiple personalities.
Though I consider this unusual and intrusive, it was the only way for me
to ensure that indeed Selamawit Araya existed. In doing so, it was not
and is not my intention to sidestep "issues" raised by you or provide
answers that one would expect would come from the concerned parties.
If people feel comfortable wrapped in an anonymous vest, that is fine; but
when they expect a certain level of feedback from others, they should
realize that this may not be acceptable, especially when the topic of
discussion is sensitive.
As far as I'm concerned, Selamawit Araya (what a beautiful name!) is an
invention that is lurking in cyberspace waiting to catapult normal dehai
discussions into hopelessly futile exchanges.
Selamawit, as you came through the shadowy alleys of cyberspace, please
remain there, surfing the endless web without venturing into dehai in the
vest of a dehaier. Or come out and be our guest on any controversial or
not-so controversial issue. If you don't exist in reality, don't expect me
to give you life by engaging in further discussion with you.
What's funny is that I might know who is naively assuming the name of
Selamawit. By now, it's not a big task to make a profile of the person
behind the writing based on the semantics, style of writing, and
grammatical construction of the premises in the postings. You got to know
that I know you and that I'm purposely ignoring any email that is coming
to me in private from you, and has been coming to me in the last few months.
May you find peace.
