Selam Amanuel M. and Dehai,

When I joined dehai I was a freshman at the University of Toronto.
Back then, dehai had about 60-70 members. It was not uncommon
for dehaiers to include their full (and REAL :-) name, their
work place, etc. Boy, many even included their phone number and
fax number as part of their signature.

We all know that dehai is not a "chat room", at least I hope this
notion of mine is shared by many of you folks. I am not saying we
need to be too formal or too reserved. All I am saying is let's
respect each other. We start that by being HONEST. There is no
need to hide one's identity. Talking to an unidentified person is
like talking to a ghost.

Personally, I enjoy every post in dehai as long as it is a genuine
expression of one's opinion (no matter how much I agree/disagree
with that). But, hiding your identity on the internet and use that
as a launchpad to harass other dehaiers is unacceptable.
