Selamat Elias et al,
I want to thank the members who participated and continue to
do so on this thread. The Eritrean Revolution has thousands of
heroes. During the revoultion, there was no encouragement to
identify key figures who contributed more than the "average" hero.
There were outstanding fathers of the revoulution that stood out
tall among many peers:- Ibrahim Sultan, Woldeab Woldemariam,
Hamed Idris Awate, etc.
I could not pass the opportunity to thank everyone's effort to inform
us on the father of our armed struggle: Hamed Idris Awate. I want
to especially thank Elias for his exemplary presentation of
information. Too often we get information that attempts to
rewrite Ertitrean history according to their personal fantasy.
A good example is of a certain ex-professor of UA that keeps
sending unsolicited e-mail with purported historically significant
events, all in his imagination of course, (meaning there were no source
to collaborate his story, and he definately was not there).
The time you invested to research the material is very much appreciated.
Thankyou again, keep up the good work.

To our greatest heroes:- The Eritrean Masses!

PS. Wellcome back Hidaat! I stepped out to our backyard and saw
my son looking up, and he asked me what the bright light up there was.
I said, "I don't know, son, come on in". Now I know what that bright
light was travelling north. Your presence,or, lack of it, is never
unnoticed.
