My name is Bryan, and I am currently applying for a Fulbright
scholarship to travel and study abroad in Eritrea. One of my best friends
at UC Berkeley is Eritrean, and when choosing a place to study abroad I
thought that I would like to learn more about Eyoel by learning more about
his homeland. Anyway, as part of my application process I need to write a
research proposal. However, I have had difficulty in identifying
professors and researchers at Asmara University. I am a molecular
biologist/geneticist currently, though I am interested in pursuing field
biology research in Eritrea - perhaps studying the effect of war time
disruption of ecological habitats on some native species. So, I am
wondering if any of you can provide me with some information that would
lead me to contact professors in Eritrea and/or give me information on
native species of animals and/or plants in Eritrea that would be
interesting to study. I also would not mind working on molecular medicine
on pathogens that affect the people of Eritrea, but I would like to
venture into some field biology. I appreciate your response.
Live simply, so that others may simply live.
