Thanks Ismail and Semere for showing Hassen to grab the Carrot
instead of the of the Stick. The wole point is, Hassen, it matters very
little if my name was Mohammed, Kahsay, Teium, etc; it is the thought that
matters. I hope this is part of our development in learning how to
dialogue, how to be tolerant, and how crucial it is to let people have their
independence in their thought processes, regardless of how much it differs
from others. Group thinking did African Americans no good. There should be
a room for individual thinking.
It is interesting, when I left dehai some 6 months ago, the
discussion was, you guessed it, religion. And when I re-logged into dehai
some two to three weeks ago, well, you guessed it again, it was religion.
And I will be disappearning, perhaps, sooner than I thought, and I am sure
issues of religion will remain to be important aspect of a debate for many
dehaians. All I am trying to say, Hassen, is this: let's face it and try to
be civil when we enter into discussions with learning in mind, not with an
agenda of one's religious belief as better than another's. If the latter is
our aim, then, we will reach nowhere but a stalemate.
Respectfully,
