As is the tradition back home, people are gathered under a large canvas tent
after the funeral to mourn the dead. Among the people a group of educated
gentlemen are sitting in one corner and were talking about current affairs and
such. Hagos the drunk came in tipsy as usual and sat himself next to the
gentlemen, at this point the discussion among the gentlemen was about
technology. Hagos who has only a 10th grade education decided to interject his
opinion to the discussion and said " We need technology, yes siree we do!" The
others gave him a blank look and continued with their discussions. Now the
conversation was about Leo Tolstoy and still Hagos thought he should
participate in this discussion and said " Oh yes I met Leo Tolstoy one time
and I was not impressed that much by him." One of the gentlemen who was
obviously frustrated by these unwanted interruptions turned towards Hagos and
said " Excuse me brother, Leo Tolstoy was a person who lived about 150 years
ago!" Hagos froze for a second and said, "Time goes by quick, doesn't it?"
