In memory to the Eritrean independence day, I would like to tell
the dahai community one story obtained from Aboy Yebyo.

One day there were a lot of soldiers heading to Keren, singing a
song, "Yleyal Yleyal, Yleyal Zendro Ye' shabia nuro... meaning
this is the last chance for the EPLF to live". Aboy Yebyo was
standing in front of my family store watching the soldiers
passing. After a while he came in to the store and ordered his
favorite soft drink "fanta" that keeps him cool down. I then
asked him if he knew where the soldier were heading. He said
don't worry they are just going to Bet Mekea.

Bet Mekea used to be a grave yard for Ethiopian soldiers.

Aboy Ebyo was one of the out spoken individuals during the shaky
period in Asmara. He used to work in Asmara Hospital.
