GREETINGS TO ALL AT DEHAI:
My name is Haregeweini (Hareg for short) Haile. I recently joined
Dehai after much procrastination. You can imagine my joy as I stayed up into
the wee hours of the morning to read each posting and then get up at the
crack of dawn for more! Talk about love at first sight! Unfortunatlely, the
novelty soon wore off as I came across a festival of ill-will seemingly
enjoyed by a small party, which engaged itself in diatribe and mud-slinging
at the expence of an entire Dehai constituency. I was disheartened.
As I kept reading though, my faith was quickly restored in this fine
medium (I have this on good authority -- my pal Mehret) as many of you
challenged those who strayed from the common cause of Dehai to come back to
their senses. I hope they realize they have an awesome task of nourshing
this medium.
We owe it to ourselves and those who look up to us to keep this
marketplace of ideas well-stocked with productive, informative, diverse, and
entertaining items whenever we are GOOD and READY.
