I am one of those you have called - so called=20
writers (ex-EPLF tegadeliti). What do you mean by the
mentality of the 70's and 80's? To you, does a writer=20
(eventhough it is unfair of you to generalize and insult the=20
growing up authors) have to change his ideas every decade?=20
What does history mean to you might be different from the my=20
interpretation. But, a writer doesn't have a notion of time. He=20
writes what attracts him most.
What is a brain-washed menatality? Ah my GOD! Those of you=20
who have never seen the hard war that we had to sustain, the=20
hard life that we had to pass even with out saying one word or=20
regret, the images of the thousands of our camarades who have
given their sacred life for their beloved country stamped=20
in our mind ... It is endless my dear SIR. That is not brain washing?
This are words used by those (I don't mean you) who are incapable of
understanding what means deep love of freedom.
What you called it brain washing, we call it dedication for our =
country.=20
That is the source of our literature (the so-called writers general =
point=20
of view is this). Dying for a precise aim is not easy. You can call it =
dogma, brain washing etc.. But only very few can do pass the tough life =
of war.
Thanks to that kind of self discipline the fighters of EPLF have stayed=20
until the liberation of the country.=20
Thus my friend, the literary works of the ex-tegadelti is based on this.
It is sad to hear these big hurting words from you. Why do you
have to jump to unjustified generalizations?=20
Any literary work reflects one kind of view (be that political or =
social).=20
You can't blame us for that. Because you yourself, you are=20
defending your political point of view.=20
The history of eritrea is still to be written. In fact, history can only =
be written by those who don't have an already pre defined=20
conculusion about that. The EPLF has done its role in the war=20
for the independence of our country. I don't deny the ELF fighters=20
who have died for their country. A lot they are. If you can or you know =
someone who can the part of the ELF's history I will be happy to read =
it.
Finally, one word for all dehairs. Democracy is not something=20
we can create it by yelling at one another, by just denying=20
the good works of one, blaming by unjustified generalisations=20
(anyway generalising and society are never compatible!!) saying big,=20
disgusting words about somebody or a part of our history. Guys,=20
don't forget We still have a very long.....long way to go. The more=20
we are far away from our country, the more we will rest away from=20
the hard struggle of democracy (may be even harder that making=20
war - human brain is ...). Thus let us be cool to one another and=20
try to learn from one another.
