Follow up questions on Ghidewon's:
Is taxation the same for:
a) organizations that send computers in the form of aid to
university, schools, government departments?
b) private computer companies?
c) individuals for their own personal needs?
d) individuals as part of a government-approved research project?
I remeber when I shipped a huge consignment of research equipment in the
past, I didn't pay a penny because I had a letter from the university.
So, I would like to believe that those who think along the lines of
helping Eritrea in its information tech journey may be excluded from the
taxation. But, of course, this is 1997 and things have changed.
