Selamat Dehairs,
First of all I would like to introduce my self. My name is
Thomas Tesfazghi. I am a political science grad student at San Diego
State University. The reason why I am writting to Dehai is to inform you
to what is taking place on the formation of the Eritrean Constitution.
As you all know the ratification of the Ertirean Constitution is
taking place in the month of May. A group of representatives will be
elected to represent Eritreans in the dispora. The proecess of selecting
this individulas is taking place in North America, Europe, Africa, and the
Middle East. Eight of the 75 delegates will be elected from North America
(6 from USA, 2 from Canada). The six delegates from the USA will be from
the following states: Californai, Washington, Texas, New York, DC, and
Illinois.
I have been selected as one of the representatives from the city
of San Diego and will go on to comopete with the other representatives
from cities across California and surronding states in the coming week
(March 29, 1997) in Oakland, California.
As a young Eritrean who has a positive interest in playing a role
not only in the ratification of the constitution, but in any aspect of
devlopment that goes on in our country. Furthormore, I am interested in
the constitution of Eritrea because I feel the need of involving the
younger generation into this important issue. Therefore, as a young
Eritrean I am interested and willing to participate in this important
event.
Therefore, I would like all your inputs on this issue and would
also like to have your full support. Your inputs are VERY IMPORTANT to me
