Selam Sondra,

I read on your "self introduction" that you are an antropologist and that you
have done research on Islamic issues.
Now, for years I used to visit an Indonesian mosque in a small village nearby,
becuase the Inodonesians were the only muslim community there, but I moved
some two years ago closer to the city of Rotterdam where the muslim community
exists mainly of Morrocans, and only those Morrocans from North Morroco so
called "Berber" they better refer to themselves as "Amazieque" most of them
hardly speak any Arabic. During Ramdhaan a couple of friends invited me to
their homes and I was astonished by their hospitality that I can't describe
with words, they even asked me to come with to Morroca where they have summer
houses!

What astonished me ever more was the striking similarities between the people
of North-Morroco and muslims in Eritrea in particular they way they do Ramdhaan
and weddings which left me quite puzzled.
My question is, how do you explain those similaritis?

Thanks in advance,

Hassen.
