I guess pollitics is not my cup of tea!! Everytime
I step into politics, I get dog's refuse (dog's sh...) all
over my feet :-). Excuse my language, but as Forest Gump has
said it 'sh...happens'..:-) Yes, it happens, & I am doing it again!!
Honestly speaking, don't you think it would have sounded
a better public policy had the Govt. said:'....as registered
citizens, your rights to vote and be voted is unlimited, however,
if you haven't met your 2% obligation, & if it is the will
of your constituencies that you represent them in this historic
phenomenon, it will be necessary that you bear the burden of
paying your own expenses..'? It could be a matter of opinion,
but I think it would have sounded a better public policy.
However, regardless of what our individual opinions on what
should have been said or not said, I think it behooves on us that
in the final analysis, we pay attention to the law of the land.
