I have tried to solve the problem. Here we go:
(BTW, if that little girl was bright, it was only because she has got a lot
of information from here brothers which helped her.)
The girl was wearing a white hat. The eldest son didn't know what
hat he was wearing because not both of the kids infront of him were
wearing black hats. Had it been so, he would automatically have deduced
that his was wearing white one cos there are only two black hats (The girl
knew this). The second son, the one in the middle, would have known what
color his hat was if his sisiter was wearing a black hat because both of them
can't wear black color hats (Otherwise their elder brother wouldn't say"I
dunno":-)). That means she is wearing a white hat. (If she had black hat, her
brother #2 wouldn't say "I dunno" either).
How about that?
