Hi Sal:
I stand corrected. I said you were a libertarian. You are correctng me that
you are a Minimalist. OK. I will call you a Minimalist. I hope Ghidewon
stops calling you conservative. I am glad my last note became a vehicle
for you to fully expound on your credo. I have a small confession to
make, though: Sal as a Ghandian is a bit confusing, but hey, life is full
of surprises.
I will accept your own definition of your political philosophy. Although the
first half of my last note where I took you to task ( after saying I
wouldn't) for your alleged political "waywardness" was written in jest, I am
afraid it didn't come off as intended. I thought you would forwrd my note
accompanied by your comment. I expected you to set me straight. When you
didn't, the context within which the note was written was blurred. I probably
came across as an intolerant grouch. Any way I apologize for the tone of my
note. It was enough mislabeling you.
When I said you were a libertarian, I was thinking of one who believed in
a less intrusive government, one who believed in the supremacy of
individual liberty. Perhaps it's because I misread you, but I always felt
you fit the description of a clasical liberal (with a small "l").
