It hurts, but I do agree with you.

><Yes, it does upset me to hear Eritreans facing such kinds of "unequal

This is also a sad story, something needs to be done.

Mobae, this puzzles me a bit. I don't mean to challenge you on this one;
you might know something I don't, Asmara University or someone who
knows what the deal is can probably shed some light on this subject. I
just want to share what I know regarding this issue. During my visit to
AU, in 1994 I asked about the types of housing accommodations that were
provided to professors in general (I had heard that the university
provided housing to non Eritreans only). The response I got was as
follows: foreign professors were generally paid by their governments (as
assistance to AU) and the university in return made agreements with
their governments to provide them with housings. I don't know if it was
subsidized, hence they paid less, my understandig was that the housing
was provided free of charge, as per the agreement. To tell you the
truth, I don't have any problem with these types of arrangements, if it
applies to all whose salaries are paid by their governments (my personal
opinion). However, I have a problem, BIG TIME! I might add, if a person
is treated more or less than another, just for the color of his skin.
